My Love Language

I read the 5 Love Languages book by Gary Chapman several years ago. After reading it, I immediately thought my love language was quality time. Recently, I stumbled up a quiz on-line that you can take to find out your language and while quality time is pretty high, it is not my primary language. It is words of affirmation. I'll be honest I was surprised.

Love Language Scores:
10 Words of Affirmation
7 Quality Time
5 Receiving Gifts
3 Acts of Service
5 Physical Touch
Interpreting and Using Your Profile Score:
The highest score indicates your primary love language (the highest score is 12). It's not uncommon to have two high scores, although one language does have a slight edge for most people. That just means two languages are important to you. The lower scores indicate those languages you seldom use to communicate love and which probably don't affect you very much on an emotional level.

Words of Affirmation
Actions don't always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, "I love you," are important--hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
Interesting. It makes sense now that I think about it, but I would have never guessed that that was my language.

Take the quiz. Tell me what your love language is. Do you think it fits you?

  1. My results:
    9 - Words of Affirmation
    9 - Quality Time
    7 - Acts of Service
    3 - Receiving Gifts
    2 - Physical Touch

I would say that my results are right on. Unfortunately, I have a husband who would probably say Physical Touch is his primary love language, and I'm not very good at speaking that one... the challenge is to speak your spouse's language when it's different than your own, right?! Thanks for posting!
